10/10! Our experience on Out Yonder Excursions went above and beyond. Our captain was extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history, wildlife and ecosystems. We enjoyed the intimate experience as it was just our group of three and another couple. A refreshing change of pace compared to being on the bigger boats that pack people in like sardines. Getting an opportunity to see the low country away from downtown and more touristy areas gave us a new appreciation for this truly special part of the country. Thank you Captain Chris!

Five stars aren't enough for the unforgettable experience we had with Captain Chris! If you're looking for an incredible wildlife tour, this is it. We were thrilled to spot dolphins, pelicans, and egrets in their natural habitat. The boat was super comfortable and had plenty of room to move around, which made for a relaxing and enjoyable trip. He was not only extremely knowledgeable and experienced out on the water, but he also made the entire trip so much fun and enjoyable for everyone in our group.

One of the things that really stood out to us was how great Chris was with the kids. He was patient, fun, and handled them so well, making sure they were comfortable, entertained, and having a great time. You could tell right away that he genuinely enjoys what he does and loves sharing the experience with others.

Chris’s knowledge of the water and the surrounding area was impressive. He knew so much about the wildlife, the waterways, and everything we encountered along the way. We learned so much while still feeling like we were simply out enjoying a fun day on the water. This wasn’t just a boat trip, it was an experience we’ll remember for a long time. From the beautiful scenery to the great conversation, the kids having a blast, and Chris making sure everyone had an incredible time, everything was perfect.

Capt Chris showed our family such a great time on our sunset cruise! His knowledge of the local rivers and wildlife will astound you! He's friendly, funny, and entertaining. I can assure you that you'll come away knowing so much more than you did before you stepped on the boat.

The boat is a large stable platform with plenty of seating for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and are looking forward to an oyster picking trip in the near future! Don't forget your camera!

I loved the evening sunset boat ride through the marsh! Both tour guides were amazing, knowledgeable, and made the experience even better. I also really liked that it was a smaller group. We saw tons of birds, dolphins, and even alligators! Definitely worth the drive from downtown Charleston to experience this.

We had such an awesome experience on this charter! Captain Chris was incredibly knowledgeable on the local wildlife and history. We got a much more “local” experience than we have with some of the larger downtown focused charter cruises. This was relaxing, fun, and felt very authentic. We met several cool people on our cruise and hope to ride with Out Yonder Excursions again soon.

Super last minute spontaneous decision and ended up having the best time. Would totally recommend to anyone new to the area that wants to learn a little about our marine life. The owner is super knowledgeable and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. I’ve lived here my whole life and he still taught me some new things! We had a wonderful time on our sunset cruise with Captain Chris. We learned a lot about the history of the area, the marshes, oysters, birds and other wildlife while cruising along the waterway. A number of dolphins put on a show for us against the beautiful sunset sky. The boat landing our cruise left from was easy to get to and had lots of free parking - definitely a bonus! Since we are locals, we definitely plan to go on another of Captain Chris' tours. He is both funny and informative.

We had a magical time and learned so many interesting things despite our limited English (we're French speakers). Captain Chris is very friendly, and his passion for Lowcountry culture is contagious. We also saw plenty of birds and dolphins swimming around our small boat. The marsh landscape is exceptional, and the colors of the sunset against the stormy sky were fantastic. This was easily my favorite experience during our Charleston trip! Having a local's tour of the area felt like a vacation hack. Captain Chris is a wealth of local knowledge, land and sea. He brought us to places no tourist would get to otherwise. My wife's highlight was seeing the roseate spoonbills - beautiful! We saw alligators too. Listening to the peace and quiet of the morning marsh was worth the trip alone. Beats being stuck in traffic! We will 100% book again next time we're in the area.
